The Supreme Court of Guam issued an opinion on July 13 reversing the Superior Court’s decision to dismiss a lawsuit filed against Cyfred Ltd., which sold lots in the Gill-Baza Subdivision without installing sewer lines, and its insurer, National Union Fire Insurance Co.
The 40 property buyers of 33 of the lots that had individually sued Cyfred settled in 2013. One individual received $100,000 and the other individuals received $5,000 each. In addition, the plaintiffs agreed not to execute judgment against Cyfred and the case would go forward against National Union only.
