NMI gets $4.5 million more for Soudelor recovery

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Northern Mariana Islands is receiving $4,518,008 more in federal funds as part of the Typhoon Soudelor recovery effort, according to Gregorio C. “Kilili” Sablan, the Northern Mariana Island’s representative to Congress. The money will be used to install 12 generators to provide emergency back-up power to 91 wells and keep water service available to all villages on Saipan after
a storm.
