ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam — An increase in security will take place at the Andersen Air force Base Northwest Field. Security forces personnel have reported a rise of fence cutting at the field. Trespassing on federal property is considered a federal offense and violators can be fined up to $5,000 and sentenced to up to six months in prison.
Personnel from the 36th Security Forces Squadron will be working with local authorities in implementing new security plans and with village mayors to inform the public about laws regarding trespassing and tampering federal installation.
