Guam Guard celebrates Army’s 242nd birthday

BARRIGADA, Guam — The Guam Army National Guard held a cake cutting ceremony to celebrate the Army’s 242nd birthday at the Guard’s Readiness Center.  Brig. Gen. Roderick R. Leon Guerrero, adjutant general of the Guam National Guard reminded servicemen that the Army was established 242 years ago to defend the nation. 

Servicemen were reminded to hold commitment to the Army’s core beliefs and to remember the Fallen Heroes. The celebration was held to commemorate Army soldiers, families and civilians . . .
