The Guam Workforce Development Board at its meeting on June 28 passed several resolutions to launch Guam Department of Labor programs to train Guam’s youth, develop an apprenticeship program and provide funds for incumbent workers to obtain training.
Training for out-of-school youth
The Department of Labor will award federal grants totaling $900,000 to organizations to provide services for training in in-demand industries, such as allied health, construction, hospitality and telecommunications, for youths 16 to 24 years old that are unemployed and are not attending school.  . . .
