Following a year-long extension of time in which to settle outstanding plots from the 1978 Land for the Landless Program, a total of 240 unclaimed land parcels remain unable to be transferred to the Chamorro Land Trust Commission for redistribution.
Under Bill 196-33, passed on Nov. 19, 2015, the Department of Land Management was to make its best efforts to contact the owners of the plots in default and offer them the opportunity to bring their accounts . . .
