KOROR, Palau — The Palau Congress has given its nod to enter into a public-private partnership contract with airport management partners from Japan.
The Palau government entered into a Memorandum of Understanding in 2015 for joint development of the airport with Sojitz Corp. — a Japanese trading house that has also partnered elsewhere for bids with Japan Airport Terminal Co. Ltd., which manages Haneda Airport — and the Japan International Cooperation Agency. Some funding would come from both.
