Congestion relief: Extra CBP personnel alleviates airport lines

Despite increases in the number of flights and the number of arriving passengers, average wait times in the airport’s Customs and Border Protection arrival hall for immigrations processing — a longtime concern of the tourism industry and related businesses and organizations that peaked between 2015 and 2016 — have decreased around 29% over Chinese New Year and around 17% over Japanese Golden Week since last year, by making use of the CBP Reimbursable Services Program.
