Units from nine nations commence DIVEX 2017

ASAN, Guam — The Western Pacific Naval Symposium Diving Exercise 2017, a disaster response focused exercise, commenced June 5 on Guam. DIVEX 17 includes approximately 90 participants, consisting of divers and support and command personnel.

The WPNS-DIVEX is biennial diving exercise conducted by WPNS nations to enhance cooperation, interoperability, and tactical proficiency in diving operations. The last DIVEX was held in Singapore in 2015.
