KOROR, Palau — Palau President Thomas E. Remengesau Jr. on May 26 introduced a telecommunications regulatory framework aimed at developing a “robust telecom sector” and modernizing the outdated telecommunications regulatory framework.
“The Telecom Law is essential to improving the telecom sector with policies that support robust industry,” Remengesau stated in his transmittal letter to Palau Congress leaders. “It is a framework in which education, health care, emergency management and government services are enhanced and more widely distributed through equitable access.”
