AG says GLUC approvals of electronic billboard variances are void

TAMUNING, Guam — Attorney General of Guam Elizabeth Barrett-Anderson said in a letter to the Guam Land Use Commission on May 10 that the commission exceeded its authority by recently approving applications for a zone variance that would allow electronic billboard advertising contrary to the restrictions in the sign regulations.

                 “The commission acknowledged the advice regarding the application of the sign regulations but approved the application anyway,” she said in the letter.
