Remengesau says decreased tourism gives Palau a time to ‘reset’

KOROR, Palau — President Thomas E. Remengesau Jr. said that the economy of Palau has bounced back after a slowdown in fiscal 2013 and that it is poised for economic growth in 2017.

In his State of the Republic Address delivered on April 13, the president reported that government revenues bounced back, recording a 16% increase in fiscal 2014, a 7% increase in fiscal 2015 and just over a 3.5% increase in fiscal 2016.
