Negative consequences of recent developments and tourism in the CNMI

In a nutshell, the recent developments and possible future developments dictate the type of tourists that the CNMI entertains. These tourists come from markets segments that include those who are interested in the casino, as well as the “traditional” tourists who want to experience warm weather and white sandy beaches. There is no doubt that the tourism industry is the greatest revenue-generating industry in the CNMI, if not the only. However, are these tourists creating more harm than good for the CNMI?
