AG calls on retail industry to adopt missing child program

TAMUNING, Guam — Attorney General Elizabeth Barrett-Anderson asked Guam’s retail stores and malls to adopt Code Adam, a seven-step alert program that gives personnel 10 minutes to locate a child missing on the premises.

Speaking at the Guam Chamber of Commerce membership lunch on March 29 at the Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort, she said, “After 10 minutes — soon to be five — law enforcement authorities are notified.” The program is in place in one Guam store, Barrett-Anderson said.
