DANDAN, Saipan — Northern Mariana Islands legislators, senators and members of the education and business communities gathered on March 6 for the ribbon-cutting ceremony of Triple J Saipan’s second housing project, Saipan Comfort Homes. The complex of 40 two-bedroom, two-bathroom units is part of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program that allows the use of private equity for the development of affordable housing. The $21 million project initially broke ground in April last year.
Partners in the development include the Northern Marianas Housing Corp., which administers the low-income housing tax credit program; Creedmore Developers LLC . . .
