WASHINGTON, D.C. — Insular areas must be included in the $1 trillion infrastructure plan that President Donald J. Trump promised, said Gregorio “Kilili” Camacho Sablan, the Northern Mariana Islands representative to Congress, according to a March 9 release from his office. The House Subcommittee on Indian, Insular and Alaska Native Affairs held a hearing on March 9 on infrastructure in the insular areas, which Sablan said will help establish the need for further federal investment in capital improvements.
