Palau College aims to grow fish production industry

The Palau Community College is working toward developing the country’s fish production and breeding industry. The college’s Cooperative Research Extension Division launched a project in 2014 to develop the production of milkfish fry and has made recent progress in its goals. The project is funded by the Center for Tropical and Subtropical Aquaculture and the Micronesia Land Grant Program.

“Starting in July 2016, we were able to produce 80,000 milkfish fry and deliver them to fish farmers here and are hoping later we’ll be able to improve the number . . .
