36th MUNS begins work in new missile facility

ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE — The 36th Munitions Squadron opened its Precision-Guided Munitions shop in January on Andersen Air Force Base. Thirteen airmen work in the 7,642-square-foot facility, which is composed of a main office area, a support section and three separate maintenance bays with overhead cranes. The facility stores joint air-to-surface stand-off missiles, air-ground missiles, dummy air training missiles and air decoy missiles. Airmen at the facility inspect, test and update missile software to ensure the missiles are mission-ready . . .
