Weighing in:  DPW considers possible amendments to truck weight law

The Department of Public Works started enforcing penalties on March 1 at the Truck Enforcement Screening Station Facility by the Port of Guam along Route 11 for overweight commercial vehicles, as mandated by Public Law 33-106. However, it is continuing to work with businesses toward compliance, as many businesses have expressed concerned about the economic impacts of the weight limit enforcement and some are proposing amendments to the weight law.
