Iconic Hagåtña architectural feature removed, plans for renovation

After about 45 years, the aluminum façade of the former Ada’s Market on Route 1 in Hagåtña was removed in February. The building houses Island Business Systems and Supply and Meskla on the first floor, and the attorney general’s office occupied the second floor about eight years ago.

The grill was designed by the original owner of the building, the late Peter Ada Jr., who was president of Ada’s Inc. at the time.
