Army to include Marshall Islands firms in bidding process for first time

MAJURO, Marshall Islands — Major developments for the Marshall Islands private sector are afoot at the U.S. Army Garrison — Kwajalein Atoll.

For the first time since the United States established its missile testing range in the early 1960s, U.S. Army officials informed Marshall Islands and U.S. contractors last month that the next bid for Kwajalein range service contracts will include a scoring component that takes into account participation of Marshall Islands companies.
