KOROR, Palau — The Asian Development Bank released a private sector assessment of Palau on Feb. 23 during the 4th Economic Symposium with recommendations of several policies to sustain economic growth.
One of the recommendations was that Palau should focus on ensuring that new tourism facilities do not strain the water and sewage infrastructure. It noted that Palau is posting economic growth due to its tourism, but it is attracting low-end tourists whose level of spending is not benefitting the economy.
