Guam Community College unveiled a new logo on Feb. 16 and a “logo system,” in which the same image can be slightly varied to be individualized for the various departments of the school.
At a community college marketing conference in 2014, Jayne T. Flores, assistant director of communications and promotions for the school, attended a presentation on acquiring a new logo and learned that the launch of a new logo should coincide with a big event, such as an anniversary. GCC’s 40th anniversary was two years away at that time.
