Korea arrivals nearly surpass Japan in market share ADELUP, Guam — Guam’s long-time primary visitor market of Japan was nearlysurpassed in January arrival numbers by the Korean market. Japan comprised 42% of the overallvisitor market in January with 57,037 visitors, while Korea comprised 41% with 56,341 visitors. Visitors from Japan have been the primary tourist market for Guam since the PanAmerican World Airways jet brought 109 Japanese tourists to Guam in 1967.“We continue to have challenges from Japan with the dollar/yen exchange rate and the
