NMI court dismisses hotel’s case against bank in foreclosure suit

Chief Judge Ramona V. Mangolona on Jan. 23 ruled in favor of ANZ Guam Inc., formerly known as Citizens Security Bank, in its motion to dismiss a lawsuit filed by J&JEV Enterprises, which does business as Victoria Hotel, for the foreclosure of the property.

Victoria L.G. and Jesus T. Lizama, owners of Victoria Hotel, filed suit in the District Court of the Northern Mariana Islands on March 9 against ANZ claiming the bank foreclosed on their property without a business license in the NMI.

The Lizamas entered into a loan agreement of $1.8 million with Citizens . . .
