The Saipan airport has a healthy list of much-needed improvement projects planned for 2017 (See full story on Page 11.) — projects that will help to ensure on-schedule flights, the safety of travelers and aircraft on the runways and also the comfort of travelers, who will be able to enjoy reliable air conditioning come the replacement of eight units by July.
But with the exception of an expanded parking area, not a lot of projects on the Commonwealth Ports Authority’s list for the Saipan airport are focused on increasing capacity for hosting airlines and processing passengers.
