Mattis travels to Asia-Pacific, meets with key allies

  WASHINGTON, D.C. — Secretary of Defense James Mattis was due to make his first trip as secretary of defense Feb. 1–4 to meet with his counterparts from two allies, Japan and the Republic of Korea. The four-day trip included stops in Seoul and Tokyo.
