Delta system outage causes delays and cancellations

  ATLANTA — Delta Air Lines experienced a systems outage on Jan. 29 that caused departure delays and about 170 cancellations. An additional approximately 110 flights were cancelled on Jan. 30. The systems were restored early Jan. 30.

  Incoming and outgoing flights for Saipan and Guam were delayed around 60 to 150 minutes on Jan. 30, but no flights were cancelled, according to Delta’s corporate communications.

  A change fee waiver was issued for customers scheduled to travel on Jan. 29 and Jan. 30, for rebooking by Feb. 3. Customers who incurred a cancellation or a delay of 90 . . .
