SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — APL Saipan made its maiden call at the Port of Saipan on Jan. 3, commencing the
weekly service for the Guam Saipan Express (GSX) service. The U.S.-flagged APL Saipan joins its sister ship,
the U.S.-flagged APL Guam, which first arrived in Guam a year ago, to double APL’s service frequency and
capacity from the U.S. mainland to Guam and Saipan, improving transit time by three days.
Supported by the 1,100-TEU APL Guam and the 1,600-TEU APL Saipan, the GSX service calls the ports
of Busan, South Korea; Yokohama . . .
