Getting cold feet: Decline in Japanese tourism hurts destination wedding industry

The destination wedding industry on Guam has been experiencing a gradual decline in business in the past several years, forcing World Bridal to withdraw from the Guam market, ending its 10-year contract with the St. Laguna Chapel at Pacific Islands Club Guam in July.

The former World Bridal salon space in the PIC has been renovated and opened as Ramen House Hokkaido on Dec. 5, and the chapel is beginning renovation in January to reopen on April 1 as the Rainbow Chapel by Arluis Wedding, which has taken over the contract . . .
