Completion of minimum wage study delayed

HAGÅTÑA, Guam — Market Research & Development Inc. has asked the Department of Labor to extend its deadline to complete the minimum wage increase study to Jan. 27, according to information provided by DOL to the Journal. The company said in its request that it has encountered delays in obtaining complete business information needed for an effective study.

“While the delay is disappointing, I can understand, as a researcher, the difficulty in assuring good sampling representation and thorough research data collection for an effective study,” said Guam DOL Director Shirley Mabini.
