TOKYO — The Japanese government has announced plans for the renovation and enlargement of Tokyo’s
Haneda International Airport ahead of an anticipated increase in tourist arrivals in the coming years — and particularly in 2020, when the city will host the summer Olympic Games.
Airlines and travel operators have welcomed the news, and there are hopes that the enhancements will directly assist the travel sector in the Mariana Islands.
