DPW to issue new RFP for troubled school award

TAMUNING, Guam — The Guam Department of Public Works will re-issue the request for proposals for the new Simon A. Sanchez High School in Yigo, according to a Dec. 7 statement from Deputy Director Felix C. Benavente on behalf of the department.

The original award was the subject of multiple protests by Core Tech International after the multimillion dollar project was awarded to Guam Educational Facilities Foundation Inc. Public Auditor Doris Flores Brookes criticized the award process in a Nov. 22 ruling, saying it should be re-bid or corrected . . .
