Construction company sued for patent infringement

KwikSpace Guam Inc. is suing Reaction Co. for producing imitations of its patented modular, international-standardized buildings. In a complaint filed on Nov. 8 with the District Court of Guam, KwikSpace alleges Reaction Co. is making, using, selling and renting out modular structures made from cargo containers similar to those designed and patented by KwikSpace, infringing on intellectual property, misleading customers and interfering with KwikSpace’s business practices.

KwikSpace developed a way to convert shipping containers into affordable, customizable structures of various sizes and able to withstand harsh conditions. The company applied for and was issued patents for two designs . . .
