A new regional group has been formed to advocate for mainstreaming renewable energy penetration across the region through the adoption of reliable and efficient battery storage systems.
In an interview with the Journal, Jeffrey Voacolo, vice president of Micronesia Renewable Energy Inc., said the newly chartered group of seven members — the Micronesia Alliance of Solar and Energy Storage — sees battery storage systems as the missing link in the industry.
“Adding solar with energy storage together gives the association more power, gives us more resources and more depth,” he said.
