SANTA RITA, Guam — Eleven U.S. Naval Base Guam facilities will soon receive Energy Star-certified heating, ventilation and air conditioning units, resulting in an annual savings of more than $1.38 million. Three separate contracts totaling $15.6 million were awarded to Fargo Pacific Inc. for the installation work, which is planned to begin in January or February, according to an Oct. 14 release.
The equipment uses 7% to 10% less energy than standard equipment and is expected to save more than 3.5 million kilowatt-hours annually.  . . .
