Guam National Guard breaks ground on multimillion dollar building

BARRIGADA, Guam — The Guam National Guard held a ground-breaking ceremony for a $2 million Aircraft Maintenance Bay on Nov. 3. The contract was awarded to APC Construction LLC for the design and construction of a facility to support and maintain two helicopters for the Guam Army National Guard with an expected completion date of July, according to a Nov. 1 release.

This project is the first of two phases but allows the soldiers of Detachment 2, Delta Company, 1st-224th Aviation to become operational, similar to a deployed environment. The facility is approximately 6,200 square feet, is typhoon . . .
