Businessman and former Sen. Gordon E. Mailloux, also known as Johnny Guam and the Early Bird Senator, passed away surrounded by family at his home at the age of 96. He is survived by his wife, Isabella Chu, and five of his six children, including his adopted son.
Mailloux came to Guam as a federal employee in 1947, and in 1948 he started a fishing business with his friend and business partner Agueda Johnston.
