FAA awards $5.8 million for airport projects


TAMUNING, Guam — The A.B. Won Pat International Airport, Guam, has received five grants from the Federal Aviation Administration for project funding, which were formally accepted and assurances agreed to by the airport board of directors on Sept. 29.

The funding will be applied to the following projects: 1) terminal building sterile arrival corridor design on the third floor; 2) design of a new Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting building; 3) design work to rehabilitate apron and ramp areas; 4) airport safety management system manual and implementation; and 5) wildlife hazard assessments . . .
