Beijing carrier files to serve Saipan

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Beijing Capital Airlines Co. Ltd. has filed an application with the U.S. Department of Transportation for an exemption and a foreign air carrier permit to begin service to Saipan. The application, dated Aug. 30, requests authorization to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail from Hangzhou, China to Saipan. The airline is requesting the exemption until the Department of Transportation issues its foreign air carrier permit.
