TUMON, Guam — Ken C.P. Hu, the director general of the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Guam, announced tonight at the 105th National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan) reception that he will be leaving Guam tomorrow to fill a role with the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Papua New Guinea.
The announcement comes shortly after a Sept. 23 article in the Taipei Times reported that the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has slated its Guam representative office for closure, among three others in Norway; Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; and Hamburg . . .
