WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Air Force announced that the Final Environmental Impact Statement for Divert Activities and Exercises for the Northern Mariana Islands has been cleared for release, according to the Office of Congressman Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan. The Air Force filed the EIS with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the notice of availability will appear in the Federal Register on Sept. 23. The notice begins a 30-day waiting period for public and agency review, after which the Air Force could make a decision either to re-address aspects of the EIS or to sign the record . . .
