PALIKIR, Pohnpei — The Asian Development Bank released on Sept. 1 a five-year strategic framework for the 11 small island nations in the Pacific including Palau, the Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia.
The strategic framework focuses on reducing costs, managing risks and enabling value creation, as outlined by Xianbin Yao, director general of the Pacific Department for ADB, during the post-forum dialog at the Pacific Islands Forum Leaders’ Meeting held Sept. 7–11 in Pohnpei.
Yao told the Journal that the strategy will serve as a guide for the ADB . . .
