After the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act passed in February 2009 the U.S. Small Business Administration was able to help nearly 70 000 small businesses get recovery loans by reducing the loan fees and increasing the government-backed guarantee to 90%. This was an investment that turned $680 million in taxpayer money into more than $30 billion in lending support . . .
