Supreme Court set to rule on construction law

The Guam Supreme Court has agreed to rule on an issue of first impression that could have major ramifications on the construction industry during the upcoming buildup and beyond. Specifically the local high court is currently addressing an extraordinary "certified question"" proceeding to determine whether and to what extent Guam follows the so-called ""economic loss doctrine"" in construction dispute cases. Unless the case settles sooner the Supreme Court will be issuing a ruling of major interest to contractors eyeing Guam construction projects . . .
