On July 15 acting governor Lt. Gov. Michael W. Cruz approved the passage of Bill 433 which became Public Law 30-159. The new law will make important amendments to PL 30-25; which was authored as Bill 22 by Sen. James V. Espaldon and mandated for the adoption of 2009 International Building Code standards. Bill 22 was signed into law June 16 by then-acting governor Cruz.Alfred C. Ysrael president Tanota Partners circulated correspondence to media outlets June 28 voicing his frustration about the IBC and passage of PL 30-25.
