Statistics statistics – a higher GDP is not a blanket improvement

The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis reported May 5 that Guam's GDP rose at an annual rate of 1.8% in the period 2002-2007. Guam's real GDP in 2007 was pegged at $3.9 billion. During this same period Guam's population increased at an average annual rate of 1.5% with GDP per capita increasing at an average annual rate of 0.3 . . .
