We appreciate Jack Yoshino's opinions about the hotel occupancy tax as discussed in the article on page 10 of this issue of the Journal. As he acknowledges the issue is sensitive and his ideas are still developing and we're not sure that we'll agree with whatever form the "tourism tax"" might finally take. But we admire Yoshino for thinking about issues and advancing ideas that would not otherwise be advanced. Yoshino's company is a major stakeholder in Guam's economy and he has shown himself to be a level-headed thinker . . .
