Japan confirms $336 million in FY2009 for Marine move

WASHINGTON - U.S. Chargé d'Affaires ad interim James P. Zumwalt and Japanese Foreign Minister Hirofumi Nakasone exchanged notes pertaining to the transfer of government of Japan funds to the U.S. government for the relocation of U.S. Marines from Okinawa to Guam according to a July 11 release from the U.S. State Department.Based on the exchange the government of Japan will provide $336 million to the U.S. during fiscal 2009 . . .
