Guam’s latest census hints at recovery and good times ahead

The U.S. Census Bureau released the Guam 2007 Economic Census on May 29. The Census Bureau conducts this business survey every five years. The 2007 census shows Guam's private sector has improved since 2002 in terms of the number of firms workers employed annual payroll and sales revenues. Headline reports of a 36% increase in sales revenues have caught many of Guam's business community by surprise especially given the recent doldrums in sales volume and tourist spending . . .
